A native of South Central Los Angeles, I recognize the significance of home ownership, backed by over two decades of experience in affordable housing. In my previous roles, I served as the Director of Property Management for a Los Angeles non-profit and spent 18 years as the Vice President of Compliance Administration for a consulting firm, overseeing affordable rental-housing units and various first-time homebuyer programs. My diverse career also includes experience as a lender and an Assistant Manager with the County of Los Angeles.
A graduate of Cal State University Dominguez Hills, Anita remains committed to public service and actively participates in organizations such as Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Cerritos Area Alumnae Chapter. I previously served as the President of the Crimson and Cream Community Foundation (CCCF), a 501C3 organization. I have also previously held positions as the Housing Chair for the Long Beach Branch of the NAACP and as a board member for the Long Beach Housing Development Corporation. Actively engaged in my community, I am also a member of Zoe Christian Fellowship in Whittier.
